Google Docs To Receive Smart Compose Feature

Good news for Google Doc users!

The Smart Compose feature from Google is an automated suggestion feature based on Artificial Intelligence. It allows the user to create better content and type faster.

Last year, Google introduced Smart Compose to Gmail and now Google Docs will be getting this feature as well.

“Now, we’re bringing you Smart Compose in Docs in Beta to help you write your documents more quickly. Smart Compose in Docs helps save you time by cutting back on repetitive writing, while reducing the chance of spelling and grammatical errors. It can even suggest relevant contextual phrases.” reports Google via its services page.

However, the feature currently will be available only for the G-Suite users and in the beta phase. Also, in the initial stage, only domain administrators will be able to signup for this program.

In Gmail, Smart Compose is the extension of its other feature called Smart Reply. It enables a user to leave an automated reply to an email.

In the beginning, the Smart Compose feature in Google Docs will only be available in the English language.

When will Google release the Smart Compose feature in Google Docs officially?

So far, Google has not confirmed the official release date but we can expect that Smart Compose in Google Docs will be released this year for normal users.

While Google Docs is getting new features, Google gave Maps app some new updates as well. With the new feature on Maps, users can follow Local Guides to discover new places to visit.

Users can view the suggestions in the “For You” tab in the Maps app. Currently, only nine cities have this feature and soon will be rolled out for other cities as well.
